Missing Your Smile

A poem I wrote for my late husband

I close my eyes and see your smile

A sweet smile

To me, it means so much more

A smile for ME

When I surprise you

A look of love

Our shared secret

I remember what it meant to ME

Your smile fills my heart

With love

A special smile

For ME only

I can’t find it

In any pictures

I recreate it from my dreams

Your smile for ME

I want to burn it into my memory

To never forget

I close my eyes again

And remember YOU
