Should I Be Worried About Fascism Coming To America?

The warnings are coming from all directions and all four corners of Medium.

Writing about fascism in America has never been on my to-do list. I would say I’ve been missing the signs for years, but I actually didn’t know what the signs were. I’m one of those people who voted for Trump in 2016. I thought that it might be useful to shake things up. Be careful what you wish for.

I searched Medium for essays on fascism, and I found four voices sounding the alarm. Their arguments are compelling and terrifying at the same time. I believe the average American would not recognize these signs. As a child, I often wondered how average Germans let the holocaust happen. I’m beginning to understand.
