I joined Medium in May 2020, and I had a lot to learn. Reading tips from other writers has helped tremendously.

I especially like tips about resources that will make writing easier and help me improve my writing.

Here are four articles that I have bookmarked and frequently reread. I hope you also find them helpful.

The 53 Fastest-Growing Medium Publications Still Accepting New Writers by J.J. Pryor

This article was essential to me as a writer. The article made me aware of ILLUMINATION, one of the most welcoming publications on Medium. This publication has introduced me to various supportive writers and editors and has ultimately made me a better writer.

I also learned about The Ascent in this article, and they accepted my request to add me as a writer. I still haven’t had a story accepted by The Ascent, but I haven’t given up. Writing for The Ascent is a goal, and I think my writing improves when I strive to reach a goal.
